Natural Resources

Ancient Egypt was home of many natural resources that helped make life much easier. An example of this is that on the banks of the Nile River there was extremely fertile soil which made farming very easy. The Nile River also supplied fish and water fowl to eat. Egyptians also used papyrus reeds from the Nile River to make: paper baskets, sandals, and boats.

People in ancient Egypt also got their resources from the mountains and desserts. For example the Egyptians used limestone, and granite which was mined from the mountains and used for houses. They also mined for gold, copper, and semi precious stones that were used for jewelry.
